Employer verification checklist
Missouri RN and LPN renewal dates are on different cycles
Missouri does not renew every nursing credential in the same year. LPN licenses renew in even-numbered years, while RN and Missouri APRN-linked RN licenses generally renew in odd-numbered years.

Missouri has no general grace period for practice after expiration. Submitting an application after the deadline does not itself authorize continued nursing practice.
The Board instructs nurses to renew at least three business days before expiration. Waiting until the final day can leave the license lapsed while payment or application information is processed.

How to reinstate a Missouri LPN license after May 31, 2026
